Anna Maria Island is a subtropical barrier Key located on Florida's West Coast directly on the beautiful
Gulf of Mexico. Our Island is approximately 7 1/2 miles long and ranges from 1/4 to 2 miles in width with
total area of approximately 17 square miles.
Our sand is sugary white and unbelievably blue gulf waters front our shore on the west side of our Island with intriguing bays and bayous winding along our east shore.
This provides superlative fishing and retains much of the Island's natural beauty! We are connected to the mainland by two bridges with a third bridge providing access south to Longboat Key.
Our "laid back lifestyle" appeals to those visitors preferring a casual and relaxing vacation and there are no hi-rise condos or large motels. We're within 2 hours maximum driving distance to
Florida's main attractions such as Disney World and Sea World, and we provide a variety of unusual shops, recreational facilities and the very best in seafood restaurants.
We're easily reached whether you're driving or flying with two interstate highways to our mainland as well as two airports within 1 1/2 hours driving distance. You're the one in control
of setting your pace and there's plenty to see and do while you're sharing our congenial air of unhurried, sub-tropical living.
